Refund Policy

This policy explains refund eligibility for the Mock Brains Brain Stack, a digital product delivered instantly upon purchase.

Quick summary

Fourteen days. If the setup scripts cannot complete your deployment, or your Oracle Cloud region has no Always Free A1 capacity, email support@mockbrains.com with your order number and you get a full refund to your original payment method. One refund per product per purchaser. Oracle charges, third-party services and a change of mind are not covered.

1. Digital Product Nature

The Mock Brains Brain Stack is a digital product (downloadable ZIP file) delivered instantly upon purchase. Once downloaded, the product cannot be "returned" in the traditional sense.

2. 14-Day Refund Policy

You may request a refund within 14 days of your purchase date if you followed the setup guide and either:

  • Could not complete deployment due to issues with the setup scripts, OR
  • Could not obtain Oracle Cloud Always Free A1 capacity in your region

One refund per product per purchaser.

3. What Refunds Do Not Cover

Refunds are not available for:

  • Third-party application issues: Problems with n8n, Ghost, Uptime Kuma, or other applications (these are separate projects not sold by Mock Brains)
  • Oracle Cloud changes: Changes to Oracle's Always Free terms, availability, allocations, or resource limits (except A1 capacity, as covered in section 2)
  • Setup difficulty: General difficulty completing the setup process (documentation is provided)
  • Changed mind: Deciding self-hosting isn't right for you after purchase
  • Third-party services: Issues with your domain registrar, DNS provider, email relay, or LLM API provider
  • Oracle Cloud account: Inability to create an Oracle Cloud account or account suspension by Oracle
  • Oracle Cloud charges: Any charges from Oracle, including charges for exceeding Always Free limits

4. How to Request a Refund

  • Email: Send refund requests to support@mockbrains.com
  • Include: Your order number, purchase email, and reason for requesting a refund
  • For deployment issues: Include relevant error messages or logs
  • For capacity issues: Include the Oracle Cloud region you attempted

We aim to respond within 2 business days.

5. Refund Processing

  • Method: Refunds are returned to the original payment method
  • Timeline: Within 5–10 business days after approval

6. Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us for refund requests rather than initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Chargebacks incur fees regardless of outcome and take longer to resolve. We commit to responding to refund requests within 2 business days.

Chargebacks end download access immediately.
